Kiran Bains is a Registered Dietitian, nutritionist, and co-founder of Food Venture Accelerator. With a master’s degree in nutritional sciences (thesis on animal protein sustainability and veganism’s environmental impacts, aligning with UN SDGs 2 and 13), she blends clinical science with real-world CPG launches.
She created and successfully launched Upcycle Kitchen (a social enterprise turning surplus produce into shelf-stable products) and Bloom Acres Cookies (a sold-out gluten-free brand that landed wholesale accounts across farmers’ markets).
Today she manages the Western Accelerator at Ivey Business School’s Morrissette Institute, mentors over 1,500 food & beverage entrepreneurs, and contributes to global research on sustainable food systems (cited by UN-FAO and IPES-Food).
